Fireplaces & gas logs in Rome, GA

The original showroom, at 3 Holmes Ave NW since 1974. Fifty years of selling, installing, and servicing hearth equipment out of one building, for families in Floyd County who mostly found us because a neighbor sent them.

On the Rome floor

Four departments, one roof.

Everything we sell is standing in the building on Holmes Avenue, and most of it is burning. You can put your hand near a flame and find out what the brochure was not going to tell you.

Fireplaces & inserts

Direct-vent gas fireplaces that can go in a room that never had a chimney, wood-burning fireplaces and stoves for people who want a real fire, and inserts that turn a drafty masonry firebox into something that actually heats the house.

Gas logs

Vented and vent-free log sets for an existing firebox. The cheapest way to go from a fireplace you never use to one you light on a Tuesday, and the fastest install we do. Real Fyre hand-painted sets are on the floor.

Grills & outdoor cooking

Gas and charcoal, freestanding and built-in, plus the parts and accessories that keep a good grill running for a decade instead of two seasons. We will tell you honestly which one suits how you actually cook.

Fire pits & fire tables

Gas fire pits and fire tables for a patio, and wood-burning bowls for people who want smoke and sparks. Sized and plumbed properly so the flame looks right instead of guttering in the first breeze.

Since 1974

Fifty years on Holmes Avenue.

We opened in Rome in 1974 and never moved. That is long enough to have sold a fireplace to somebody, then to their son, and then to their granddaughter when she bought her first house off Turner McCall.

Staying in one place for fifty years does something to how you sell. You cannot talk a neighbor into the wrong unit and expect to keep the phone ringing, because you are going to see them at the grocery store. So the advice tends to be blunt, and sometimes it is that the thing you came in for is not what you need.

It also means parts. We can usually still get components for equipment we installed decades ago, which is a harder claim than it sounds like when hearth brands come and go.

What we carry

A short list, known well.

We would rather carry five lines properly than twenty badly. These are brands we can still get parts for years after the sale, which matters more than it sounds like it does.

Jøtul

Norwegian cast iron, made since 1853. Wood stoves and inserts built to be rebuilt rather than replaced.

Real Fyre

Hand-painted ceramic gas logs. The set most people picture when they picture gas logs that look like wood.

White Mountain Hearth

Direct-vent gas fireplaces, inserts, and log sets with a deep range of sizes and venting options.

Osburn

High-efficiency wood stoves, inserts, and fireplaces. Strong heat output for the money.

Buck Stove

American-built stoves and inserts with a long parts history and a reputation for heating a whole house.

Out of Rome

Floyd County and the towns around it.

The Rome showroom covers Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk, and Chattooga counties. Cherokee and Pickens are covered from the Canton store. Between the two we reach most of Northwest Georgia, so if your town is not listed, call and ask.

After the sale

Service, not just shelves.

A hearth shop that only sells is half a business. We install what we sell, to code, with our own crew, and then we come back for the annual cleaning and the January phone call when the pilot will not stay lit.

That includes equipment we did not sell you. Hearth gear routinely outlives the company that installed it, so if you have a unit with a dead thermocouple and a defunct dealer, give us the brand and model off the data plate and we will tell you what is still available.

  • Repair. Pilots that will not hold, sooting glass, dead remotes, blowers that quit.
  • Annual service. Sensors checked, burner ports and orifices cleaned, venting inspected, safety shutoff tested.
  • Chimney cleaning. Once a year for a wood fireplace you use through the season.

Common questions

About the Rome store.

Where is the Hearth Enterprises Rome showroom?

3 Holmes Ave NW, Rome, Georgia 30165, a few blocks off Turner McCall Boulevard. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and the phone number is (706) 234-0521.

How long has Hearth Enterprises been in Rome?

Since 1974, at the same Holmes Avenue address, which is more than fifty years. This is the original location. A second showroom opened in Canton in 2026.

Can I see fireplaces burning in the Rome showroom?

Yes. The displays burn live. Gas fireplaces, inserts, and log sets run on the floor so you can judge flame height, glow, and how much heat actually reaches the room before you buy.

Which towns does the Rome showroom cover?

Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk, and Chattooga counties, including Rome, Armuchee, Lindale, Silver Creek, Cartersville, Calhoun, Cedartown, Rockmart, Adairsville, Summerville, and Kingston. Cherokee and Pickens counties are covered from the Canton showroom.

Do you install and service in Floyd County, or only sell?

All three. The same crew that sells you the fireplace installs it to code and handles the service calls afterward, rather than handing installation to a subcontractor.

Do you repair fireplaces you did not sell?

Yes. Hearth equipment often outlives the dealer that installed it. Give us the brand and model off the data plate and we will tell you what parts are still available. We repair gas fireplaces, inserts, and log sets across Northwest Georgia regardless of where they were bought.

Do you work with Floyd County builders?

Yes. A large share of our work is as the hearth sub on new builds: spec and selection, supply, rough-in, finish, and the service calls after closing. There is a page for the trade with the details.
