Built in Spruce Pine, North Carolina — a few hours up the road from Rome. Buck has been turning out heavy, straightforward wood stoves and inserts for decades, and there is a reason you still find thirty-year-old ones running in houses around here.

Wood stoves
Freestanding heaters that radiate from every side. Heavy steel construction and a large firebox, which is what you want when the goal is loading it up on a cold night and getting real heat for hours.
Wood inserts
The classic Buck application, and the one most people in Northwest Georgia know it for — a heavy insert dropped into an existing masonry fireplace, usually with a blower, turning a decorative firebox into a genuine heat source.
Gas stoves & gas models
If you like the look and the build but do not want to handle firewood, Buck also builds gas models. Same straightforward approach, no hauling and no ash.
Blowers & parts for older units
We still service Buck units that are older than some of the houses they sit in. If you have an existing one, bring us the model number off the data plate and we will tell you what is still available.
Why we carry Buck Stove.
Some of this is sentiment and we will admit it. Most of it is that the things last, and that we can still get parts for units we sold decades ago.
- Made in North Carolina. Built in Spruce Pine, a few hours from Rome. Regional manufacturing tends to mean shorter waits on parts and a company that answers the phone.
- Heavy build. Thick steel and a big firebox. These are not lightweight boxes that warp after a few hard seasons.
- They stay in service. We are still repairing Buck units installed long before the current owners bought the house. That is the strongest argument any brand can make.
- Familiar around here. Plenty of Northwest Georgia homeowners grew up with one. If you are replacing an old Buck with a new one, the transition is usually straightforward.
- We install and service it ourselves — including the chimney work, which on a wood appliance matters as much as the stove.

Can a Buck insert heat my whole house?
It depends far more on your floor plan than on the stove. An open plan with the unit fairly central can carry a lot of a house; a closed-off layout with long hallways will not. Tell us the square footage and how the rooms connect and we will size it honestly instead of selling you the biggest one.
Can a Buck insert go into my existing fireplace?
That is the classic application. A heavy insert drops into the masonry firebox you already have, usually with a blower, and converts a decorative fireplace into a real heater. We measure the opening and check the chimney before quoting.
Can you still get parts for an older Buck Stove?
Often, yes — this is one of the reasons we keep carrying the line. Find the data plate (usually behind the lower door or underneath) and bring us the model and serial. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or whether your money is better spent replacing it.
Do you service Buck Stoves you did not sell?
Yes, routinely. A lot of the Buck units around Rome outlived whoever installed them. See our service page, or just call the shop.
